Sultan Mosque


Sultan Mosque is considered one of the most important mosques in Singapore.

It was originally built as a simple brick structure by Sultan Hussain Shah within his palace compound and completed in 1826.

In 1924, a new mosque was built on the same location.

Today, Sultan Mosque can accommodate up to 5,000 worshippers and is one of the largest mosques in Singapore.

The mosque was gazetted as a national monument in 1975.

Please be advised to dress modestly if you are visiting this place of worship. No sleeveless tops, shorts or short skirts.
