Church of Sts. Peter and Paul
The history of the Church of Sts. Peter and Paul is intertwined with that of the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd.
When the congregation for the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd started increasing in size, it was decided that a new church
was to be constructed to accommodate the Chinese and Indian Catholics.
The church was completed in 1870.
As the congregation further expanded, the Indian Catholics moved to the newly built Church of Our Lady of Lourdes in 1888
and Church of Sts. Peter and Paul eventually became an exclusively Chinese parish.
The church was gazetted as a national monument in 2003.
Please be advised to dress modestly if you are visiting this place of worship.
