The Cathedral of the Good Shepherd
The Cathedral of the Good Shepherd is the oldest Roman Catholic church in Singapore.
The church began as a small wooden chapel on the site of the former St. Joseph's Institution (now Singapore Art Museum) in 1833.
By the end of the 1830s, the Catholic community has grown too big for the small chapel and so building of the new cathedral
at its current location began.
The construction was completed in 1847 and the cathedral was gazetted as a national monument in 1973.
Please be advised to dress modestly if you are visiting this place of worship.
