Buddha Tooth Relic Temple
The Buddha Tooth Relic Temple was founded in 2002 by Venerable Shi Fa Zhao.
It is dedicated to the Maitreya Buddha and houses the tooth relic of the Sakyamuni Buddha.
Construction of the temple commenced in 2004 and was completed in early 2007.
Built at a cost of over $50 million, the temple is designed in the traditional style of the Tang dynasty and features a
two-metre all-gold stupa weighing 420kg.
The gold was donated by devotees. Located in Chinatown, the temple also has a museum on the third level for visitors
keen on learning about the history of Buddhism in Southeast Asia.
Please be advised to dress modestly if you are visiting this place of worship.
