Singapore Zoological Garden (Zoo)
The world class Singapore zoo opened its doors to the public for the first time on 23 June 1973.
Spread over 28 hectares, the open-concept zoo is home to more than 3,200 animals.
The Singapore Zoo is one of the best and most beautiful zoos in the world. Naturally, it is no stranger to awards
having won many of them such as Singapore Tourism Board's Best Leisure Attraction of the Year 8 times since 1991,
Viator.com's Top 5 Most Popular Family Experiences in 2007 and many more.
Begin your day at the zoo with a Jungle Breakfast with Wildlife at Jungle Flavours. Hop on a tram and take a ride
around the zoo. Watch keepers feed the animals and learn more about them through the keepers' commentaries.
Catch any of the animal shows that occur throughout the day (check Singapore Zoo website
for show times). Make your zoo visit a memorable one by riding on a pony or an elephant!
Do not miss out on the special themed animal exhibits found throughout the zoo. The world's first orang utan free ranging
area is found right in this very zoo. Watch the 24 orang utans as they swing playfully from tree to tree.
Catch a glimpse of the beautiful white coats of the Bengal White Tigers at the Tiger Trek exhibit. Listen to the trumpet of
the elephants at the Elephants of Asia exhibit. Explore the rest of the exhibits as you make your way around the zoo.
