Orchard
Today, instead of orchards, it is lined with major shopping centres and thronged with crowds looking for a good buy during the weekends. During festive seasons such as Chinese New Year, the street is closed off for the Chingay Procession. Glittering lights fill the street during the Christmas period. Orchard Road is filled with anything and everything your heart desires. It is a one-stop shop for many. Brand name fashion boutiques, book stores, cosmetics and perfume counters, household supplies etc. are just some of the many things you can find here. After your shopping spree, head down to any of the numerous cafes or restaurants for a well-deserved rest and a steaming hot cup of coffee.
