Peranakan Museum
The Peranakan Museum, launched in April 2008, presents a Southeast Asian-wide view of Peranakan culture in Singapore.
It houses the world's most comprehensive and finest collection of Peranakan artefacts.
The Peranakan Museum has ten permanet galleries for visitors to explore the main themes of Peranakan life.
Galleries include the role of the Nonyas, the rich and intricate 12-day Peranakan wedding, prominent Peranakans in Singapore's
history and one of the Singaporean's favourite pastime - food and feasting.
In the museum, cathering to all ages, the rich material legacy and heritage of the Peranakans are enhanced by state-of-the-art
display technology and educational interactives for the young.
