Singapore Air Force Museum
"Men, Machines and Methods"
That is the theme of the display at the Republic of Singapore Air Force Museum which sits on 10,600mē of land.
First opened in 1988 in Changi, the museum later moved to its present premises in Paya Lebar in 2001.
With an outdoor gallery, history gallery on the first level, and eight indoor galleries on the second level, military and
aviation enthusiasts get a comprehensive look at how the RSAF has transformed from its early days as a fledging air force to
a professional one with state-of-the-art equipment today.
Visitors are treated to a display of aircraft at the outdoor gallery ranging from the air force's very first Cessna 172K to
recently acquired planes such as the A4-S Skyhawk.
Other air defence artillery including the Bloodhound Missiles and aircraft armament are also on exhibit.
The other galleries showcase the development of the RSAF through the years including its numerous momentous milestones. The
history of aviation gallery provides a look at how aviation has developed since the very first flight in the 1900s.
The exhibits are enhanced through extensive use of multimedia to enrich visitors' experiences.
