About Singapore

Lion city? Little red dot? Garden city? Sunny island? Asean tiger?

These are just some of the monikers Singapore is known by to the rest of the world.

Fuelled by our passion for this tiny island state we so intimately love and call home, we decided to showcase the best and all of Singapore to the world - our very own Singapore travelogue.

For those of you who are not aware, Singapore is an island nation located at the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula. It is 137 kilometres north of the Equator and sits south of the Malaysian state of Johor and north of the Indonesia's Riau Islands.

Singapore at 704.0 km² is the smallest country in Southeast Asia and one of the few city-states in the world, home to more than 4 million people having one of the highest per capita gross domestic products in the world.

If you search for Singapore on a map or Atlas, it will be a lot easier to search for Malaysia and trace down south along the peninsula to find Singapore. Singapore is a tiny red dot at the southern tip of the Peninsular and has come a long way from the times of being a simple fishing village to having one of the world's busiest port and airport.

With the help of a few friends who share the same passion and love for Singapore, we embarked on a journey to build Singapore Travelogue - the most comprehensive information website you can find on the internet about Singapore.

You can use it as a travel guide as a tourist or use it to plan a simple family weekend outing as a local Singaporean. It took us close to one full year to visit, document, take/edit pictures and finally build this website.

We are sure that you will find the information you need about Singapore here. Everything you read on the Singapore Travelogue are from actual visits and experiences we personally had. Every place, every ride, every thrill and every mosquito bite (read on and you will know what we mean).

Enough has been said. Time for you to explore Singapore, small but yet there is plenty more. Welcome to the Singapore Travelogue experience ……….

So which is it?

Lion city? Little red dot? Garden city? Sunny island? Asean tiger?
